"I'm writing these short autobiographical vignettes--I hope having something to do with writing or with my life in relation to my writing. At some point, I'd like to put all of these into a book. We'll see how that goes. All facts and details are either true or untrue based on a faulty memory and a natural authorial tendency to embellish by either understating or overstating what did or didn't actually happen. In one way or another, these stories are more true than what probably actually happened."
