Life’s been a bit busy. Forget the fact that the Icepocalypse here in Texas knocked out my solar trailer, leaving me with only generator power for a month or so. Then the generator went out too. I was able to buy a new solar charge controller a month or so again, but it was worthless because the sun never came out, and when it did I was traveling, working, or otherwise busy! I finally got the charge controller installed during a sunny day a week or so ago, right before heading to Arkansas to visit my children and grandchildren. When we returned, Danielle and I looked at each other and said, “Boy, it is great to be back. Now we can get back to our normal lives!” Well… that didn’t last…
My mother had fallen before we left to Arkansas and she broke her hand. She had surgery on the day we left to go up on our visit. Then about when we got home she fell and did some damage to herself. My father had to take her to the emergency room and she was put in the hospital for a few days. Then she was released to a rehab hospital where she may be for weeks. I drove up on a few minutes notice to be there and to help my Dad. So… everything continued to slip in my own world back home.
Got back home this past Thursday and finally had a little bit of sun so I could start to ship Bunker Nation Coffee orders on Friday. Hope to be totally caught up on Monday!
I plan on doing a Bunker Nation LIVE show at 2pm Central Time today (5/23/2021) so catch it live if you can. If not, you can catch it whenever you are able… right here on the blog, or on YouTube.
In addition to getting back to the LIVE broadcasts, I am talking to some people about getting a YouTube video editor who will allow me to increase the recorded content – which people really like. I’ll be able to do more HOW TO THINK and HOW WE DO STUFF segments without worrying about never getting to edit and upload the content – which has been a big problem. So hopefully that bottleneck will get resolved soon.
I also plan to start blogging again here… regularly. It’s been a while, but I do have so many things to talk about and I don’t really have a readily available format for it. I’m tired of typing things into social media just for the social media companies to decide that no one will get to see it. And even if they do, most people don’t read anything longer than a few sentences. If you’ve read this far, congratulations – you still have an attention span! So make sure to check here regularly for new blog posts. Also – make sure you are subscribed to my email list so you will get notifications and information when I post a blog or video!
Coffee!
We have new pricing available in the Bunker Nation Coffee Store, and a new coffee launching VERY soon.

I found you on Youtube last year and wow what a difference a year makes. Because of you I moved out of the city and became a “producer”. I bought 6.75 acres in a mostly rural area. We had a garden that was very productive that was not feasible in the yard we had in the city. Canned most of August and planting cold crops now. We are canning meat when we find it reasonably priced in the store.
I want to thank you for the inspiration to get out of the rat race and be able to survive if SHTF today. We have what we need to make it and it’s been and still is a learning process. Not completely off grid but plan to be soon.
Made some small beer from fruit trees and herbs on the property that turned out great. Gathering persimmons for wine this fall and shelling walnuts. It’s a ton of work but worth it.
Thank you Mr. Bunker and hope to see you on Youtube again soon.
