Greetings friends,
Well, after much consideration, prayer, and even waffling, and after consultation with my literary agent Jeff Gerecke, I’ve decided to self-publish Brother, Frankenstein. I think it is the best decision for both the book and my readers, and I’m excited about getting the book out more quickly to all the people who have been waiting patiently for it.
What a great time to be a writer, when we can seriously consider multiple options AND keep our readers in mind. Because of this decision, the book will be available sooner and cheaper than it might have been otherwise. I think that is a good deal.
I haven’t set a date yet, but I’m leaning toward April 29th, since that was the date I released my last solo novel, Pennsylvania, a year ago. The date has worked well for me so far!
I’m going to be talking to all my friends and readers – everyone on my email list – about the best way to go forward. There are so many exciting possibilities and I want to capitalize on all of the opportunities that are out there to get the book out to more people. Soon, I hope, I’ll be making an announcement with a firm launch date. I hope that we’ll also have the book up for pre-order on Amazon and the other stores so all of you who did me the great favor of beta reading Brother, Frankenstein, will be able to post your reviews there. For now, people have been posting their reviews on Goodreads, and wow… the reviews have been fantastic.
Please make sure you are subscribed to my email list. Email subscribers will likely be getting one more opportunity to get the book early for reviews, so be subscribed (PLUS, make sure you are opening the emails and reading them!)
