On The Road
6/20/08 - 6th Day - Late Afternoon. Preparation of the Sabbath. We are on our trek up north. We stayed the first night just outside of Little Rock, Ar. after about 9 hours of driving. Tonight we are staying in a Motel 6 in Knoxville, TN - and we will also be staying here through the Sabbath. We haven't had much internet, so it has been hard to keep you updated. In Little Rock, we ran across an interesting vision. The picture is bad, so I will have to explain to you what happened...
In the picture, there is a sign that says WARNING: PREPARE TO MEET GOD, and the picture is in front of the Applebee's. You see, these three guys - we'll call them Tim Lahaye, Hal Lindsey, and Rod Jordan - came up to us and said, God is coming back any day to rapture us! They didn't quite agree on WHEN, but they swore that he was going to be at the Applebee's, so we drove over there. We stood outside for hours, although we did wonder why God was going to be meeting us at the Applebee's. Anyway, after several hours we began to get depressed and angry, and we started fighting amongst ourselves and wondering what had happened. Then another three guys - we'll call them Hymaneus, Philetus, and Bryan Lewis - came up to us and said, "What are you guys doing?" We said, we're waiting for God at Applebee's. They said, "You dolts, God came to Applebee's way back in 70 a.d. You missed him. We're already in the Kingdom, Satan is bound, and the lion is lying down with the lamb. All nations have made their swords into ploughshares, and the resurrection is past". We sat and looked at eachother dumbstruck and decided to eat somewhere else.
The trip is going well, and we have had good and safe travels so far. We look forward to being in Pennsylvania tomorrow if the Lord wills.
We won't be traveling on the Sabbath, so we will leave Knoxville on Sunday morning. I'll try to post some more pictures later.

The Applebee's story pretty much sums up the Popish mythologies of Futurism and Preterism, and quite humorously too!

Awwww, and I was all ready to pack up and go visit Applebee's as fast as possible. Too bad that I now have to change my name to 'Ima Doltoo ' ;-)
