Rain

3/26/07 - 2nd Day - After Breakfast. The rain has finally come here and we are very happy about it. We are probably sitting at about 2 inches so far, but the prognosticators are calling for continued rain most of the day and into tonight. Our creek and our ponds are pretty full, and should be really good for my garden and oat crop and for the Ante's corn they planted last week. We've been bailing water from the catchwater system most of this morning, and likely will be doing that all day. Mihai reported an hour ago that we had 900 gallons so far in our catchwater tank, which is an excellent start. I think we started out with about half that, but I'm not sure. We just took a tour of my land and it is getting a good drenching, with water running all over the place.
