Growing Up Agrarian
We are four Christian, homechurched, homeschooled, homesteading, agrarian children growing up in Central Texas on a Ranch. We are Tracy,(15) Jennifer,(10) Robert,(9) and Sarah(5) Bunker. We also have one more brother, Thomas Shepard Bunker, who is in the courts of glory. We like to read books, raise animals, and play on the land. Tracy will be writing about the stuff we do. We hope you enjoy our Adventures!

Another Day
(This post was written on Friday)
A yummy breakfast of oatmeal and bacon started our day today. We had a busy morning preparing for the sabbath. We have to clean the motorhome (where we sleep), the porch, the outhouse, the dish table and the decks. We have to keep them clean and make sure the animals all have water.
We are getting excited to finish the root cellar. The men are close to finishing it and Daddy said we are going to have an icehouse down there.
Robert found some kind of animal skull in the woods behind the chicken coops. We think it is a raccoon skull. It has two big front teeth like a cat.
One of the Sifford's cows named Rosa had a pretty calf. She is chocolate brown and white. Her name is Rosalinda. She looks a lot like a fawn. She gets close enough to let us touch her, but then she runs away. It has been getting colder here lately. It has been in the low thirties at night.
Thanks for the comments on the posts because we like to read them all together. Yes we do help kill and clean the animals. We enjoy it too. Daddy said here pretty soon we will kill some of our unneeded roosters. Yum!
Well, that is all for now!

Hello Again!
This Morning (we wrote this on Friday the 10th) we had a yummy breakfast of Malt-O-Meal and sausage. A friend who is visiting from Portland ate with us. She arrived last night. On Tuesday we took a road trip to Mason, Texas, and then to Fredericksburg for lunch. In Mason, Mom bought us:
Ivanhoe (childrens abridged)
Legend of Sleepy Hollow (childrens abridged)
The Red Badge of Courage (full)
The Trumpet of the Swan (full)
The Three Musketeers (childrens abridged)
Tracy has finished Little House on Rocky Ridge. Jennifer is still working on The Journey to the Center of the Earth; and Robert is still working on Huckleberry Finn. Tracy has started the full and unabridged version of Tom Sawyer.
This is a favorite play area:

This is our other favorite play area:

This is where Dad will build us a playhouse someday (Lord Willing):

L'il Bunks First Post

All of us are here but Tracy who is not in this picture. We will try to post a group picture of the Bunker Children very soon. There is only one goat in this picture and that is Helen the blind goat.
We are:
Tracy - 13 years
Jennifer - 9 years
Robert - 7 years
Sarah Grace - 3 years.
Our favorite things to do are: sing Hymns on Sunday afternoons, read books, explore our new land, and play with our pets. We have 2 forts and 3 cats (Rocky, Belle, and Samuel). We have 9 pet chickens (Pip, goldie, Stonewall, Alice, Sir, Silly, Casper, Stormie, and Mrs. Haney) and a lot more chickens who aren't pets.
Our favorite books are:
Robert - Huckleberry Finn, White Fang
Jennifer - Elsie Dinsmore, Call of the Wild
Tracy - Tom Sawyer
We are currently reading:
Robert - Huckleberry Finn
Jennifer - Journey to the Center of the Earth
Tracy - Little House on Rocky Ridge
We are reading "Raggedy Ann in Cookie Land" to our 3 year old sister Sarah Grace. She is smart and asks questions about the book.
We hope to include some pictures of our forts and hideouts sometime soon.
Well, over and out.
