Election Shocker!
11/10/06 - 6th Day - Preparation of the Sabbath. After Lunch. Well, it took us a couple of days for us to get over the election results. What WILL we do? Who knew that Daniel Ortega and the Sandinistas would be swept back into power in Nicaragua! We didn't vote. I mean when it comes down to a choice between communists and fascists we would rather stay home. I wonder if the Contras are secretly reforming? I wonder if they'll call? Everything old is new again.
Well, the last few days we have been busy working on the root cellar. We have one wall finished as far as the concrete goes, and we start on the second wall today. We have to buy concrete 12 bags at a time since my truck is still "inop" and we have to carry it in the van. It took 60 bags to form up one wall.
The weather has been remarkably warm, though it is cooling down now and will be seasonal for the next few days. It hit 90 yesterday.
Bet it is already winter in some places. It is supposed to get back down in the 40's tonight.
David still hasn't named his calf (that I know of), though I think they were thinking of calling her "Kahlua" or something coffeeish.
Back to work.

Michael, When I get down there(DV) we will have an extra work truck to use for hauling stuff. See you soon. God bless, Chris
Michael,
I'm glad to hear of the progress on the wall of your root cellar. Do you think that you could upload some pictures of the wall?
Thanks,
Kelly
